The Accordionist @ Heart FM (salvation Army kettle drive/campaign)

This Friday is going to be an exciting day at the station and we hope you can come and join us for the 2008 Salvation Army Kettle Campaign Kick Off! It will be a morning full of interviews from Salvation Army officials, volunteers, hot chocolate and treats.

Most importantly though there will be several areas that you can make a donation at the station...including the front parking lot. The Woodstock Fanshawe Singers will be at the station from 8:15 until 9 am along with a special performance from Ian Robinson, who will play his accordion.

Thank you to everyone in advance who plans to stop by.

Whether you just do a drive through the parking lot and make a small donation or you come in and say hi--we here at Heart FM really appreciate it. Last year you did a fantastic job with your generosity and through your support this year we hope to help out families that need it the most.

The Accordionist entertained the public outside the Heart FM studio (Jingle Bells, Away in a manger, Silver Bells, Mary's Boy Child) and played two christmas numbers live on air - Rocking around the Christmas Tree (Brenda Lee 1962) and Rudolph the red nosed reindeer.

The Accordionist also accompanied Ernie Hardeman who sang Silent Night.
